Cornerstone Construction Services, Inc. (CCS) is firmly rooted in the philosophy of giving back to the community. We believe that we are blessed to be a blessing to others. This culture of giving is pervasive among our team members, who give back through a variety of volunteer activities…
Buddies and their VIPs do arts & crafts at Calvary Assembly's Buddy Break
CCS Office Manager Lisa Wieczoreck loves children. She spends her free time teaching children's church at Calvary Assembly of Winter Park, where she has volunteered for over 17 years. She has also volunteered as a Buddy at Calvary's Nathaniel's Hope - Buddy Break since 2011. As a Buddy, Mrs. Wieczoreck spends the day with children who have special needs (VIPs), while their parents take a break.
Gently used toys donated to Washington Shores Elementary for Christmas
CCS Human Resources Manager Sarah Gonder cares deeply about community and sustainability. For Christmas 2013, she and her sons coordinated a gently-used toy drive in partnership with the Green Team from their school. Students refurbished the toys, which were donated to Washington Shores Elementary and distributed to parents.
Building homes for families in Guatemala
CCS Project Manager Phil Crawford loves God, his family and construction. In 2013, he combined all three by volunteering with Casas Por Cristo to build homes for families in rural Guatemala. Phil spent his vacation time mentoring others who were new to construction, while providing adequate housing to those who had none.
Over the year, Cornerstone has been proud to support many different events and charities. Some of these include:
